Orenco Energy is an Engineering Company over 20 years experience in Building Services and Renewable Heating systems. We design, install and maintain heat pump heating and cooling systems and biomass heating systems using sustainably sourced fuel.
Heating and cooling our buildings currently accounts for 33% of Ireland's energy demand. Only 5% of this demand is currently met by renewable technologies. At Orenco Energy, we aim to use existing mature technologies as well as proven sustainable systems to save running costs, meet renewable obligations and reduce CO2 emissions. Our mission is to enable the increased deployment of renewable heating technologies by completing installations that can be monitored and act as demonstration sites. These sites will prove that systems that are properly designed, installed and use the correct equipment provide real CO2 and running cost savings year on year.
Orenco Energy is available to take on sustainable engineering projects of all sizes and have over 20 years of experience designing, installing and maintaining heating systems for both new builds and refurbishment projects. We serve domestic, commercial and industrial customers.
A Heat Pump is an electrically powered device that transfers heat from a colder area to a hotter area. As the lower temperature energy passes through the refrigeration process, its temperature is increased. Heat pumps harness free, renewable energy from nature or from waste heat streams and the system upgrades this energy to a usable temperature. Heat pumps can be used to heat residential and commercial buildings or industrial processes. Heat pumps can also be used to provide cooling and heating at the same time.
Heat Pumps are now a mainstream heating technology, easy to install and maintain. A properly designed, installed & commissioned system can deliver significant savings in operating costs when compared to conventional systems. For example, a residential building can save up to 60% when compared to using Kerosene or LPG to heat your home.

Musgraves HQ
2000sqm office building with heating and cooling provided by ground source heat pump system coupled to AHU system. Maintenance services and project work provided to ensure the heat pump, AHU, solar and water systems operate reliably and efficiently. Heat pump system capacity is 150kW and includes 12 closed loop boreholes.
Fexco
200kW simultaneous heating and cooling, open loop borehole source/sink.
2200sqm office building with heating and cooling provided by ground source heat pump system coupled to AHU system, fan coil units and underfloor heating. Maintenance services and project work provided to ensure the heat pump system operates reliably and efficiently. Heat pump system capacity is 400kW and includes 3 open loop boreholes.
